Thanksgiving Treats for the Fall Table

Sitting down to a beautifully decorated table at Thanksgiving is always a treat.  Place these small sour cream containers on your family's plates, and watch them try to guess what's inside.

These boxes are very easy to create, and look wonderful on a table when adorned with a small fall tag.

Now, I need to hide the container that's sitting beside me because I KNOW there are caramel Hershey's Kisses inside.

Fun & Flirty Bag in a Box

September marked the beginning of a new season of Stamp Clubs, and we decided to start with a bang.

Everything we created included treats!  Oh, and a warning that not every month would be like this.  However, we put together some pretty fun projects that can be used at different times of the year.  I posed the Hallowe'en bags last week, so today I'm posting the cute purse that could hold many different items.  It would be wonderful for small gifts or gift cards, but we added some candy to ours.  Just for fun of course.

Haunting Hallowe'en Faces at Scrapfest

Do you have your Scrapfest tickets yet?  Scrapfest is coming up fast, and we've got a great make & take project planned for our booth, as well as something fun for everyone that places an order for catalogue product during the festival. 

Check out these cute candy sleeves, complete with a Hallowe'en tag.  The Cellophane Bags are 1" x 8", and come 50 to a package.  The price is perfect - $3.25 for 50!  I sat down one night with a bag of candy, and filled a whole bunch of them in less than an hour.  Another hour for tags, and we're good to go.

Don't forget - Scrapfest is on October 14th & 15th at Durham College in Oshawa.  Saturday the 15th is general admission, and tickets can be purchased at the door, while Friday evening is for VIP members and croppers only.  Full details can be found HERE.

Quick Lattice Pouch - great for treats & trinkets

One of the cute little items that was given to each demonstrator during our Leadership meeting in June was this little pouch with embossing powder.  It was created using the Lattice die for the Big Shot, and some Designer Series Paper.

Jenn added a punched scallop circle to the bottom of the pouch, and set the powder on top.  The entire thing was tied together with ribbon, and the tag is from the Best of Everything stamp set - new to this year's catalogue.

Jar o' Jellies = yummy for all

On to today's stamping jar of goodies.  Jenn Tinline and Laura Robinson gave each of us a jar of jelly beans at the Leadership meeting we attended in June.  Aren't they cute? 

The tag is very cute, and if you look carefully, you an see one of the new items in our catalogue - mini silver brads.  I ordered these earlier this week, and can hardly wait for them to hit my porch.  I LOVE BRADS!  The little flower stamp is from the Best of Everything stamp set, also new to the catalogue.

Two Tag Teabag...

I couldn't think of anything else that began with the letter 'T'!  These teabag holders were created using a Big Shot and the Two Tags die.  Robin Merriman had these up on her blog a couple of months ago, and we fell in love with them.  Perfect for a party favour, or just a pick-me-up for a friend.

Kettle and sentiment are both from the Morning Cup stamp set (one that I have been coveting for so long that I accidentally bought it twice!), and we've done a little bit of watercolouring on the kettle using Aqua Painters and markers. 

Cute, cute, cute!

I've been running wild over the past few days, and am hoping to get some solid crafting time in this weekend - assuming that the weather is crappy.  Otherwise you may see photos of my garden next week.  Happy stamping!

Lattice Treats for the Girls

At the Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar back in September, they showed us a quick treat envelope that was created using the Lattice Bigz die and the Big Shot.  Their sample had a teabag inside the envelope, but I decided that the ladies in my clubs needed something a bit more fun.

Their Lattice envelopes hold a small bag that contains a bunch of Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware.

It is incredibly easy and fast to create a batch of these "envelopes".  Cherry Cobbler cardstock was used on these ones, and a couple of small lengths of hemp twine were used to secure the corners.  The sentiment and floral frame come from the Just Believe stamp set.

The ladies were all amazed at their little bundles, and we may use the contents at a future club.

One Last Rudolph...

I know Christmas is officially over, and I don't want to see any Christmas anything for at least 8 months, but one of my customers, Kathy R., brought this over today and I just had to take a picture to share with everyone.

Rudolph is one cute reindeer.  Especially when he's wrapped around a chocolate bar.  Kathy used Aero chocolate bars for her Rudolph, and they're the perfect size.

I'm going to hold onto this photo until later this year, so I can create a bunch of these close to Christmas 2011.  But not before :)

Candy Cane Design-a-House

The Design-a-House kit has proven to be a very popular item in the Holiday Mini Catalogue.  I ordered mine very early on, and created a fun Christmas House that I will proudly display during the holiday.

This house was covered with the Candy Cane Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Stampin' Up! has said that we have almost sold out of this paper, and won't be able to get any more.  If you would like some, order it now!!!  My Last November Order will be going in tomorrow evening (November 30th) at 6pm.  Add your paper to my order to be sure that you'll receive some. 

The template that comes with the house to assist you in cutting your paper is true to size.  It's very easy to cut the paper and glue it on (I used Tombow Multi-Purpose adhesive).  The time is all in the details.  You can make it as simple or complex as you wish.

Organize the Sentiments in your Stamp Collection

I recently saw a great stampy tip on Gretchen Barron's blog that I just had to try.  Gretchen stamped all of the sentiments from the sets in her collection, punched them out, and added them to binder rings.

Last weekend I finally got around to putting my own rings together.  Once finished, I ended up with three finished rings worth of sentiments.  Two of the rings consist of punched sentiments, matted onto larger punched images.  The third ring contains the sentiments that wouldn't fit into the punches, which can sometimes be the ones that you forget about in your collection.

Better yet, I took a couple of those cool 3-M hanger things, and attached them to the side of the bookcase that holds all of my paper, just above my clock.  Now the hooks hold my sentiments, cardstock sampler that I created before I got my super-awesome Colour Coach, and my punch templates (the blue acetate bundle).

The punch template is something that's available to Demonstrators.  Each small piece of acetate has a punched shape, along with the name of the punch.  It's just one more benefit to being a Stampin' Up!
