While cleaning up my dining room... er, my stamp room last night, I realized that I never posted photos of the projects that we completed during my recent glass etching class. The samples were still sitting on my piano, so I took them outside to try and get some decent photos of them.
The jar on the left in the photo below holds my scrap rubber pieces that I keep after mounting my stamps. Although the stamps are now die-cut, I still like to keep the excess rubber from the alphabet stamps because it's thinner than the rest. I had etched this jar as a sample to show class participants that it is possible to etch the entire exterior of a piece. The jar on the right is the one that we did complete during the class. We used the Circle Circus stamp set to create the circles on the jar.
The jar on the left was created using my Big Shot, and the Stampin' Up! Little Leaves die. I cut a pile of these leaves out of contact paper, and then placed them all over the jar. The vase below was created using the negative image of the leaves.
I had previously posted a photo of my snowflake plate that was created using Serene Snowflakes, but I'm posting another, because the original didn't turn out as well as I hoped. I am going to try and host another Christmas themed glass etching class before Christmas, depending on timing. We'll make more snowflake plates because they are gorgeous!
It's "Meet the Teacher" night at school this evening, and then I'm back to stamping. I've got a bunch of things to finish for Sunday, and I'm running out of time! I'll have a bunch of fun new photos next week, after I return from my upline's meeting on Sunday. We're having a big Christmas card swap, and a 3-D Wow swap. Should be lots of fun!!! If you'd like to join us at our next meeting, let me know! Being a demonstrator is a ton of fun, and we get to try cool new stamps and techniques before anyone else.Happy stamping!
