Come and Stamp with Me!!!

Our next Stamp-A-Stack will take place on Saturday, April 25th.  It's a week earlier than planned, but we will have lots of fun cards, and goodies for all!

Come and make 12 all-occasion cards (2 each of 6 designs).  We will provide all of the stamps, inks & punches.  You just need to bring adhesive!

Location:  Winchester Golf Club, 750 Winchester Road East, Brooklin, ON
Date:   Saturday, April 25th
Time:  1:00 - 4:00 (doors open at 12:50pm)
Cost:   $30

Each participant will receive a hand-stampted gift bag with their supplies, envelopes, and a few secret goodies inside. 

New!!!  We are collecting birthday cards to give to the Hospital for Sick Children.  Bring a card (we'll provide the envelope) and we'll forward it on.  Before we do... we'll lay all of the cards received on a table, and everyone will have a chance to vote for their favourite.  A prize awaits the winner!

I can't share the stamp sets that we'll be using that day, but I can tell you this... all stamp sets used on the day of the stack will be on sale at 20% off!!!

We'll have plenty of samples on display, so bring your camera!!

Watercolouring Part II - the date's coming up fast!

It was much calmer today, now that March Break is over, and 2 of my kids have headed back to school.  Tomorrow morning will be even more peaceful as my daughter will be back at nursery school as well.  Time to do some stamping!

My next class is on Monday, March 30th.  We will be stamping and watercolouring three cards, all of which use the Soft Summer stamp set from the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalogue.  No watercolouring (or even stamping!) experience is required.  Here is a sample of one of the cards that we will be creating:

During the class we will be watercolouring using Stampin' Write markers, Watercolour Crayons, and Aqua-painters.  At the end of the class you will take home three completed cards (and envelopes), and an instruction sheet to help you recreate the look in your own home.

The class fee is $20, but if you purchase the Soft Summer set during the class, I'll waive the class fee!

Date is:  Monday, March 30th
Time:    9:15am OR 7:30pm
Place:  my house in Brooklin, ON (ask for directions!)

Check out these Happy kids - and no, they don't all belong to me!!!

Yesterday and today was Mom and Me stamping, March Break Style.  I had LOTS of kids in my house stamping,  along with lots of moms.  Good thing!  I couldn't have done it without all of their help!  My darling children were also hanging around.  That was a good thing and a bad thing.  Brendan, my 9 year old, disappeared.  Chris, his 6 year old brother was running wild on Tuesday, but was hanging out at the table this morning being his noisy self.  Michelle, my 3 1/2 year old, was all over the table, being her little demanding self :)

Here are some pictures of what all of the little cuties made this week!  Some of the darlings didn't hang around long enough to have their picture taken with their creations, but you get the idea.

Wow!  That's one really full table!!!  Check out the moms helping the girls stamp.  Trina's hanging around as well, she just didn't want to be in the picture!

First up is Jacob with his creations.  I love the rabbit face!

Ashley is one of our first-timers, and she did a great job with her projects!

Jessica's an old pro at this (along with her aunt Kathy) and could probably help me teach these classes!!

Lexie's another newcomer, but did she ever have fun!  Check out the eyelashes on the rabbit!  Cute, cute, cute.

Taylor's not only celebrating her awecome rabbits, but St. Patty's day as well.  She even had gold shoes to match!  Awesome!!!

Amanda's showing off her very cute Crab gift sack.  I love the shrimp!

Mackenzie had a great time stamping with her mom!  I think I just caught her between smiles.

Myra came all the way from the East Coast to visit with Mackenzie - it was great to stamp with her!

Laura did an amazing job stamping her projects but I'll bet she really wants to much the chocolate that's hidden inside the package she's holding!

Lucas did a great job colouring his sealife - I love the sunshine that he's added!!

Last, but certainly not least, is Mattais.  I didn't think that I was going to be able to take his photo as he was busy arranging his things on the windowsill behind him. 

For the remaining kids that trundled off on their own, I'll get their pics next time.

Some very cute London card swap samples

March Break is in full swing, today was a long (but good!) day, and I'm beat!  But... first I need to load a few card samples from this weekend's festivities.  I received some really nice cards from the swap, and need to share!

The first is the card that I made for the swap - it uses Cheep Talk, and a bit of the Good Morning Sunshine Designer Series Paper (DSP).  It also uses some very bright colours - Pacific Point, Summer Sun, and Kiwi Kiss.  Watch for more samples from this set - I'm only just getting started!

Next up is the card that Colleen Weddell, one of the talented stampers in my downline, put together for the swap.  It's really easy, but has lots of WOW appeal to it!  The DSP on the front comes from the Level 1 Prints pack - she has matched the cardstock and ribbon to the paper.

Jennifer Tinline, who is a couple of levels above me in my upline, created this gorgeous card.  She used one of the Big Shot Texture plates to create the background, and has added clear microbeads to the fronts of the cakes (stamp is from Fun and Fast Notes).  Very cool!

One last card for you this evening - I can't tell you who made it, because I took this photo while sitting in a McD's in London!  I don't actually have the card in my possession, but I liked it, so I took a picture of a friend's copy.  The tree stamp comes for a very cute set called Trendy Trees.  There is also some more Good Morning Sunshine DSP on the card.  Too cute!

I'll take photos of the cards that I received tomorrow.  I have LOTS to post, and will get right on that!

I'm done!!!

I was going to post some more photos from London, but I've got a very nasty headache that just won't go away.  So, very quickly, I'm going to post a photo of the final 2 pages of my crazy A-Z scrapbook album.  It took more than a year to put it together, but it's finally finished!  Now I can print an obscene number of photos and begin scrapping 2008.  When I find some time that is...

Anyhow, here's the last page to finish the book.  The Letter Q!

London Regionals are over, but did we ever have fun!!!

Yesterday was one of those days that you love to have, but only want every so often.  Why?  It was exhilarating yet exhausting at the same time.  Stampin' Up! came to Canada, and I want to show off some of what we saw!!!

The day started very early.  I left my house at 5:20am, picked up a couple of fellow demonstrators along the way, and arrived in London in time to register and find a good table.  We did some swapping (I'll post those a bit later), stamping, and learning!  The SU! demonstrations were excellent, as were some of the WOW presentations by our fellow Canadian demos.  I'll bet you want to see some pictures...  well here we go!

First up tonight is one of the not-yet-released Sizzix pop-up dies.  We will be offering two of them, and this is the cake die - photographed as best I could (aka ignore my finger holding the card open/closed).  These are the coolest looking cards!!

We saw a lot of very cool Big Shot projects as well.  I'll get to those tomorrow as Typepad is not co-operating this evening, and I can't get anything to space the way that it's supposed to.

With Sympathy...

A customer of mine recently lost her father-in-law.  I won't see her until the end of the month, but wanted to express sympathy for her loss.  This card was created with her in mind.

I have used Baja Breeze for the background, and the stamps are from the Beautiful Borders set.  I have added a few Pretties to the front to keep it soft.  These are difficult cards to make, and I keep thinking that I need to have a few on hand so that I don't get caught flat footed.

Congratulations Jolene!!

A friend of mine is getting married next weekend in Vegas.  She's originally from Vancouver, so it's more cost effective for her family and friends to fly there than it is to fly to Toronto.  I wish her all the best on her happy day!

I dropped a card off for her earlier this week - here it is!  It's shamefully CASE'd from SplitCoastStampers (although I cannot currently find it, and I've already deleted it from my favourites), but it was cute and I liked it!

There's a little bit of everything on this card.  The ribbon, stamps and Designer Series Paper are all from the Sale-a-bration promotion.  I used my Big Shot to cut out the scalloped envelope, and I've added a Filigree brad to the top of the mini-note on the front.

Tomorrow's our Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar in London, ON.  My swap cards aren't even close to being finished, and it's the first day of March Break.  It's time to run!!!

Mom & Me Stamping - Next Week!

Next week is March Break.  I have to find some good (and fairly low-cost) ways to entertain my kids.  I'll take them to the pool, and maybe we'll do some spring skating before the ice is pulled out of the arenas, and I know that they'll play some video games, but we'll also do some stamping!  What better way to stamp, than to have some friends over that they can stamp with.

I'm having 2 March Break stamping classes - on Tuesday the 17th, and Wednesday the 18th.  Each start at 10:00am, and the cost per child is $10.

Here's what we'll be making!

Kids of all ages love using punches, so we'll be punching some fun rabbits for a cute card.

Genie bags are a fast and easy way of creating a custom gift bag - or a bag big enough to hold Easter Eggs!

Finally, we'll make a sneaky chocolate bar pocket.  The bar is hidden inside until the ribbon is pulled.

3 to go!!

Just 3 more letters and I'm done!  I don't have any time for scrapping right now though :( so it will have to wait until next weekend.  In the meantime though, here's another layout for you to peruse.

Once again, there is precious little from my Stampin' Up! stash.  There are Kelly Panaci stickers, and some really cool paper (which had an odd printing flaw in it), but little SU! product.  Next time!

I've done a lot of stamping in the past few days - I'll take some photos tomorrow and post them up.  It's all dependent on the sun.  Cloudy days really don't help with good card picture taking!
