An Embossed Flower Garden

Today I have another card that has been floating around on my display shelves for some time now.  It's another card that was put together by Chris Parmenter, and is uses the Flower Garden Embossing folder and the Big Shot.  It's a wonderfully bright card, and I like keeping it on the shelf because it brightens up the dull gloom of winter. 

Chris used Tangerine Tango ink and Daffodil Delight paper, inking up the embossing folder with the ink before running the paper through.  It's a stunning effect, highlighting the details of the flowers.

Okay, so I need to post a Christmas Card...

One of the most popular stamp sets from the Holiday Mini Catalogue was Christmas Lodge.  This the card that I received from Chris Parmenter, a demonstrator in my downline.  She paired Sahara Sand ink and paper with Bravo Burgundy to create this elegant holiday card.

The stamp set has headed back into the Stampin' Up! vault, but cross your fingers that it appears in the new catalogue - being released June 1st!  More on that tomorrow :)

Hello Baby!

Have you looked at the stamps at the back of the Occasions Mini catalogue?  If not, you may have missed the Packed for Everything Stamp Bundle on page 39.  All of the stamps in this bundle can be purchased separately for $11.95ea, or you can purchase the entire bundle for $36.95.

I was in the market for a baby card recently (and will need at least one more in the not so distant future), and created this card using the Packed for Baby stamp.  It is based on a card that was created by Brenda Taylor, and I love the simplicity of it, but with the added detail that makes it fun.

The Packed for Birthday stamp has a fun pinata on it, and I can see my daughter using the Packed for Dad stamp to create her Father's Day card this year.  She'll go to town on it too with lots of colour and embellishments.  That girl loves her colour.

Valentine's Hearts - lots of them!

Valentine's Day is approaching quickly, and cards need to be made for those that we love.  Our last Stamp Club card in January was this one.  It's quick and easy to make, making it perfect if you're one to give cards to family and friends.

The card was based on one created by Sue Noetzel, and it uses some more of the wonderful Twitterpated Designer Series Paper in the Occasions Mini catalogue, as well as the Take it to Heart stamp set and some Island Indigo ruffled ribbon (I LOVE this ribbon!). 

One more heart element was added - the Pink Pirouette paper behind the main image was embossed using the Big Shot and the new heart embossing folder that is part of the Adorning Accents folder package on page 7 of the Occasions Mini catalogue.  I did remind everyone to make sure that they glued this on right side up - no one wants their hearts to be upside down!

This month we will be using some of the new Edgelits dies that are featured in the Occasions Mini Catalogue.  Stamp Club dates are February 13th & 16th.  Let me know if you would like to join us!

Creative Elements - a very unique card!

For those that love unique and different cards, this is one that you may like.  It has a different method of closing/opening that it is easy yet different.

Creative Elements was used for the stamping on this card. The butterfly, background image and sentiment are all included in the set.  Very versatile!  The colour combination of Early Espresso & Bashful Blue is quite striking. 

When closed, it looks like a triangle of paper has been added to the right side of the card.  Actually, the card itself has diagonal cuts in the front and back layers, and then they are joined together, securing the card closed.  Sneaky eh?

A Mug of Coffee (or Tea!) For Your Day

Today I have another card that we created at Stamp Club in January.  This one is based on a card originally created by Mary Fish, and it features some of the gorgeous Twitterpated Designer Series Paper featured in the Occasions Mini Catalogue.

Now, the halogen light has changed the colour of the paper, but I assure you that the background is white, white, white.

A bit of Baja Breeze Seam Binding ribbon has been woven around the matted DSP, and the mug was stamped on some DSP and quickly cut out.  The mug stamp can be found in the Morning Cup stamp set (one of my favourites), and the sentiment is in the Sale-a-Bration stamp set Outlined Occasions.  Those big pearls?  Huge aren't they?  They're a great compliment to the pearls that we have in our Idea Book & Catalogue, and they can be found on page 26 of the Occasions Mini Catalogue.

Scrapbook Sundays - Back to School

We're back to scrapbooking this week.  I do have oodles of finished Disney pages to post, but I'm going to start by posting the pages that we have created in my scrapbook club over the past six months.  First up is the September Back to School pages. 

The apples were hand created by moi, based on a photograph that appeared on a cover of the Stampin' Up! demonstrator magazine Stampin' Success.  Wherever you see a piece of white paper, this is where the photos are supposed to go.  I haven't printed photos in eons, so I have yet to add pictures of my kids to these pages.  I'll get there (that's my mantra these days).

Monsieur Melon Mambo Piggy

If you could see the collection of unpublished cards I have lying around, you would shake your head.  They're everywhere.  I never did end up posting the photos of all of the Christmas Cards I made over the past six months, and I'm not about to begin posting them now!

However, you may see a few pop up as I begin posting things on the blog again.  First up is a very cute card that I received from Jennifer Tinline back last summer (this is where I bang my head against the desk for holding on to this so long).

Button Buddies created quite a stir when it was released last summer.  All of the images from the set co-ordinate with our Designer Buttons to give them a bit of pop.  The pig on this card was embossed using Melon Mambo embossing powder, so he's got a great vibrancy to him.  A bit of Lucky Limeade ribbon, Designer Series Paper, and a button, and he's good to go.

A Thoughts & Prayers Sympathy Card

I created a couple of these cards last week (because I seem to always make cards in even numbers), and they are rather somber yet pretty in person. 

Thoughts and Prayers is a stamp set that is good for every stamper to have.  The images themselves can be used on a multitude of different cards as they are not pure sympathy images, and the phrases are perfect for the occasion.

I am loving the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper that is featured in the Sale-a-Bration catalogue.  I CASE'd this card from another, but seem to have deleted the web page featuring the card from my browser.  Sad considering I had it sitting there for well over a week. 

The tree was coloured using Soft Suede and Lucky Limeade Stampin' Write markers.  The leaves were then thumped with Poppy Parade and Peach Parfait.  It gives them some added colour, and makes for a pretty fall tree.

Everyday Enchantment - What a Vintage Feel!

The weather is less than ideal for those of us that are crappy photographers, so I resorted to taking photos yesterday under the halogen lights in my kitchen.  A tad washed out... my apologies.

Everyday Enchantment suite of products is featured in this year's Sale-a-Bration catalogue. It contains a stamp set, Designer Series Paper pack, as well as a Ribbon & Brad pack.  Each of these can be earned with a $60 purchase during Sale-a-Bration.

Today's card is one that was originally designed by Ilina Crouse, and was created during our January stamp clubs.  It features one of the stamps, the paper, and the brads from the Everyday Enchantment line of fun stamping products.  Enjoy!
